Treatment Approach
Pain Reprocessing Therapy
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a central part of our treatment approach, designed specifically to support chronic pain relief. Through PRT, we work with clients to rewire their brains’ pain responses, reducing or eliminating chronic pain without invasive treatments. By focusing on changing how the brain interprets pain signals, PRT provides a sustainable path to long-term relief.
Additional Therapy Approaches
In addition to Pain Reprocessing Therapy, our practice provides a variety of evidence-based therapies, each tailored to address different aspects of mental health and well-being. Each approach is chosen to support our clients holistically, ensuring that every aspect of their experience with chronic pain is understood and cared for.

-
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) centers on helping clients develop self-compassion and a kinder, more accepting view of themselves. Originally developed to assist people struggling with shame, self-criticism, and trauma, CFT combines principles from cognitive-behavioral therapy with practices aimed at increasing self-compassion. This approach is especially helpful for clients managing chronic pain, as it teaches skills for self-soothing and emotional regulation. Through cultivating a compassionate inner voice, clients can reduce stress, increase resilience, and learn to respond to their pain with patience and understanding, rather than frustration or self-blame.
We tailor each therapy to support your journey, providing compassionate, comprehensive care that addresses the unique needs of those managing chronic pain.

FAQs About Medicare
1. What is the difference between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage?
Original Medicare includes Parts A and B, managed directly by the government. Medicare Advantage Plans are offered by private insurance companies and often include additional benefits like dental or vision coverage.
2. Can I use Medicare supplemental insurance?
Yes, supplemental insurance is allowed. However, you’ll need to contact your insurance provider to confirm your benefits.
3. Does Medicare cover mental health services?
Yes, Medicare Part B covers mental health services, including outpatient therapy. You’ll pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount, and the Part B deductible applies.
4. Does Medicare cover online therapy?
Yes, Medicare provides coverage for online therapy. During the coronavirus pandemic, Medicare expanded its coverage to include telehealth sessions with mental health professionals. The costs for online therapy, such as copayments and coinsurance, are the same as for in-person visits.
Although changes are unlikely, it’s always a good idea to verify that Medicare continues to cover online sessions before starting therapy.
5. What will you need from me to use Medicare?
You will be asked to provide a copy of your Medicare card and any supplemental insurance details.
6. How do I contact Medicare for more information?
You can reach Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) or visit their website at www.medicare.gov.
